Prometeo

Prometeo is born for pizza and cooking professionals who refuse to compromise. Made with food-grade certified materials, it combines robustness, lightness and reliability.

Outdoor cooking

The models in the Pizza Ovens range are designed for those who love cooking outdoors, combining speed, efficiency and convenience. Light and easy to move, they reach temperature quickly, and that time can be spent preparing the dishes to be baked, optimising working times and turning every moment into a shared experience.

Certified models

The gas models, CE, ETL and CSA certified, are designed to meet European and North American standards, delivering the same performance as wood-fired ovens with greater convenience and faster lighting. Gas combustion also reduces maintenance: with no ash or cooking residue, only minimal cleaning is required.

Outstanding materials

Pizza Ovens, both wood-fired and gas, are made with outstanding materials: quality steels, rock wool insulation on the wood-fired models and very high density ceramic fibre on the gas ones. Galvanised sheet metal painted with a Qualicoat treatment to withstand the weather, and Skamol insulation at the base, beneath the firebricks. These fine materials optimise performance, ensuring heat retention and long-term reliability.

Smart control, perfect cooking

With the Volta model, Fontana gas ovens enter the digital age: instant lighting, control via a display and smart temperature management, held automatically. Timer, cooking probes and built-in assistance make the experience even more precise, while the app allows you to control the oven remotely as well. The result is a modern, intuitive and consistently reliable oven.

FORNI PIZZA A GAS o IBRIDI (cottura diretta)

Possible causes could be:

  • The gas hose is not properly connected to the oven
  • The gas hose is worn or has expired

Solutions:

  • Check that the hose and seals are correctly connected to the oven’s connections.
  • Check the expiry date on the hose (indicated on the hose itself).
  • Check that there are no cracks, punctures or signs of wear.
  • If there is any damage, replace the components immediately.

Before lighting the hob, ensure that:

  • The gas cylinder is not empty
  • The cylinder valve is open
  • The hose is not squashed or twisted
  • The gas knob is not turned off
  • The pressure regulator complies with the specifications on the data plate
  • The knob is not damaged

Possible causes:

1. Problem with the ignition spark

  • Check that the piezoelectric battery is correctly positioned and fully charged
  • Check the connection and condition of the cables and the ignition spark
  • Replace the piezoelectric unit if damaged

2. Blocked burner

  • Clean the pipe and outlet holes with compressed air, a soft brush and a pipe cleaner
  • Remove any debris (dust, cobwebs, etc.)
  • Check that the thermocouple is correctly positioned on the burner
  • Check that the burner holes are clear to allow the gas to flow properly
  • If the problem persists, the thermocouple may be damaged → contact a qualified technician
  • Avoid direct exposure to the wind
  • Clean the burner holes to prevent blockages
  • Check that the gas pressure and type comply with the specifications on the data plate located on the back of the product
  • Check the gas cylinder level and, if necessary, replace it
  • Keep the gas cylinder at a temperature above 10°C

FORNI PIZZA GESTIONE ELETTRONICA

  • Display → Once you have connected the power supply, press the POWER button to switch it on. To switch it off, hold the button down for 3 seconds.
  • App → You cannot switch the oven on. To switch it off, tap the black ‘Turn OFF’ button on the home screen.
  • Display → Press the dial; the default temperature will be 350 °F (177 °C). Turn it to adjust the temperature (left to decrease, right to increase). You can now set the timer or skip this step by pressing the knob again and starting the cooking process (flashing flame icon).
  • App → On the main screen, tap the temperature and swipe up or down to adjust it.

Insert probes 1 and 2 into the bottom left corner of the display using the appropriate jack connectors. Once connected, the display or the app will show the detected temperature. If they are not inserted, ‘noP’ will appear on the display, whilst the app screen will only show the general cooking chamber temperature and not that of the probes.

You can also set the target temperature you wish to reach with the probes via the app; once the temperature is reached, an alert notification will appear on the connected device.

Check that the oven is plugged in and that the circuit breaker hasn’t tripped. If the problem persists, contact the support team.

The system is designed with your safety in mind: in the event of a fault, the gas valve closes automatically, combustion stops and an error code appears on the display. This causes the oven to shut down and prevents any risk.

An alphanumeric code will appear on the display, each corresponding to a specific fault (sensor, power supply, circuit board). Consult the manual to identify it. If the error does not reset after following the initial steps outlined in the manual, contact the customer service centre.

FORNI PIZZA LEGNA

  • Use dry, well-seasoned wood (e.g. oak, beech, olive).

Avoid treated, resinous or damp wood.

  • Spread the embers evenly across the firebox
  • Allow the temperature to stabilise before placing food in the oven
  • Open and close the oven door correctly
  • The wood may be too damp. Use dry, well-seasoned wood (e.g. oak, beech, olive). Avoid treated, resinous or damp wood.
  • Incorrect draught
  • The flue may be partially blocked. Check it and clean it if necessary

It depends on the model and the amount of wood, but on average:

  • 30–45 minutes for domestic use
  • Longer times for intensive use
  • Remove the ash when the oven is cold
  • Clean the refractory surface with a dedicated brush
  • Avoid chemical detergents
